LEARNING ENGLISH WITH CODING - eTwinning Project - Yavuz ERİNÇ

In order to communicate and collaborate with schools in Turkey and Europe, we participated in a joint project as our school within etwinning. our project is called" Learning Engilish With Coding".  to this long-term project. we attended with 17 students in the 7. grade  in this extremely useful project, my students developed themselves in the coding department, which is the education of our time, and further advanced their English level with the coding they made.

Bursa, the fourth largest city in Turkey, is a city that attracts tourists with its historical structures and natural beauties. It is among the fastest developing cities in the world. it is one of the most important cities of Turkey with its fertile plain, hot springs, lakes and history

 

Altıparmak Fethi Açançiçek secondary school is located in Osmangazi District of Bursa province. Our school, which aims to increase the level of education to the highest level with Modern management and education understanding, educates successful and happy individuals. Our school has achieved success in intelligence, technology, sports and art competitions in Bursa and Turkey. It is among the established schools of Bursa province with its history..

 

as part of this project, we received the necessary permissions from the parents of our students to ensure their children's participation in the project and had our parents sign it. I want to thank our families for their support.

for this project, we held a meeting about how they can make avatars that they can identify themselves and use in profile pictures. as a sample site https://face.co / we used the site, the features and content of the site were described. they were told how to upload avatars they had prepared on the site to their computers and how to upload them to the e twinning site.  my students prepared an avatar for the first time, and they had a lot of fun.

 My students wrote character additions and codes in the Team 6 section, where they were assigned as part of the joint project. for the purpose of the project, my students found images suitable for the project from Google and added them to the project.We prepared the puppets of this project, we found 10 different puppets for the project on the internet and added them to the scratch program from outside, we tried to use the most common activities in daily life in the selection of puppets. We chose our main character hero from the Scratch program library, thank you to my students HASRETNUR 7AFAO KAAN 7AFAO, FAİZ 7AFAO, ELA 7AFAO, ÖZGÜR 7AFAO, UMUT 7AFAO MESA 7AFAO and BERAT 7AFAO who created the puppets, main character and variable of the project

In English, we use certain phrases when talking about activities that we like or dislike. We tried to teach these expressions as a practical training material in the "hobby/like dislike activity" project, which we prepared with block-based coding. In this Section, our hero says the names of the activities on the screen, and on the next page, he says that the activities with the tick mark are the activities that are liked, and the activities with the cross mark are the activities that are not liked. Thus, we reinforce the theme of" hobby/like dislike activity". We prepared the puppets of this project, we came out of 10 different puppets for the internet project and added them to the  scratch program, we tried to use the most broadcast activity in daily life in the selection of puppets. We chose our main character hero from scratch from the program library, thank you to my students ARDA 7AFAO, ESRA 7AFAO, NİSA 7AFAO, FURKAN 7AFAO, KEREM 7AFAO, YAVUZ 7AFAO, ZEYNEP 7AFAO, AYLİN 7AFAO, who created the puppets of the project and the main character

 

we were in Team 5 on this project. we completed the character insertion section of our project by writing the appropriate codes for the characters.

in Team 2 and Team 5, we worked with my students Halithan 7afao and Berat 7afao and used the concepts of variables and loops, which are important concepts of programming languages. For these projects, we turned this training app into a game activity using time and score variables and a counter loop. We've created a time variable that counts down from 90 Seconds. . the application stops when the duration is 0.  in another study, he gets 10 points for each activity that is correct. Thank you to my students Halithan 7afao and Berat 7 Afao, who created the time, score variable and cycle in these projects

Our project, which was created by 6 teams together, was played jointly by all our students and teachers over the internet at the same time.   all students and teachers were very happy with this project. in the project, my students took part in Team 2 , team 5 and Team 6. in addition, apart from teamwork, we completed the main page of this project with 6 students. so we combined the work of all the teams.

we designed and prepared the homepage of our joint project.

 

we have prepared the main page work, which is the final stage of our project and will bring all the team work together with 6 students and our esteemed teacher Crocus Aslan.first, we edited the design of the homepage, identified the images and articles that should be placed. we've got a draft. we linked all the team work to the home page and did their redirects, found the images needed for the home page on the internet and uploaded them to the system. after my students uploaded the photos they found to the system, they finished working by typing the codes that needed to be written. I would like to thank my students Arda 7afao, Berat 7afao, Ela 7afao, Esra 7 afao, Özgür 7afao and Nisa 7afao for their efforts on the main page of this project. all our teachers and students worked very harmoniously on this project. A very good project emerged with the preparation of the main page.
